ITV Chef, Author & Presenter Clodagh McKenna On Rural Life & What Bob Geldof Taught Her About Roots!

Irish chef Clodagh McKenna joins us to talk about her love of the countryside and why she relishes living a sustainable, rural life - and how she survives (and thrives) appearing on live telly - which has led to her very own TV show.

Show notes

Clodagh McKenna, this is your Rural Life!

Welcome to Series 1, Episode 8 of The Farmette Podcast.

Today we are joined by the lovely Irish chef, TV presenter, best-selling author and food writer Clodagh McKenna.

She is known for her vibrant, seasonal cooking inspired by her upbringing in Cork and her love of growing and gathering ingredients. A familiar (always smiley) face on television and radio, she shares recipes that celebrate simple, flavour-led food, whether she’s cooking at home, on location, or hosting in her kitchen. From resident chef on ITV’s This Morning, to hosting numerous series, she has now quite rightly been given her very own television series on ITV called ‘Clodagh at Home’.

Clodagh talks glowingly about living a peaceful life in the countryside and the joys it brings her and her husband Harry all year round - whether it’s growing vegetables, tending to get walled garden or her many farm animals. Let alone her trees! Listen on to find out what her friend Bob Geldof taught her about roots!

We hope you enjoy this chat about Clodogh’s life...
