Today we are joined by the very talented and knowledgeable countryside journalist and author, Patrick Galbraith.
Known for his intelligent writing, his work capturing rural life from within, has appeared in numerous publications, such as Country Life, The Spectator and The Telegraph - with his writing spanning essays and books.
His latest book Uncommon Ground: Rethinking our relationship with the countryside, is a thoughtful and provocative exploration of land, access, and our connection to the rural world which has just come out in paperback. It was described by a Financial Times journalist as ‘superb.’ He brings a sharp eye, deep curiosity, and a real love of the countryside to everything he writes.
This Podcast covers Patrick’s journey so far - with everything from the hunting, poaching, cooking and growing up in rural Scotland - to what life is like now in Norfolk, where he has settled with his wife and dog.
